Seachange Guide This information, in the Gold Members’ Only section of the web site, is designed to help people who are planning to move to a coastal town or city. It covers the area from Hervey Bay in Queensland to Eden on the NSW / VIC. Border. This strip of coast is the most popular area in Australia for people enjoying a seachange, as it avoids extremely hot or cold weather. We will be adding more coastal and inland towns as we gather information on them.

We don’t try to tell you the best place to move to. That is a personal decision for you, depending on what you are looking for. However, once you know what the various towns have to offer, you are in a much better position to make an informed decision.

While it is relatively easy to decide to move to a coastal or inland area to enjoy a better lifestyle and have more money to invest or spend, it is NOT so easy to decide which area best suits your requirements. Most towns produce lots of glossy tourist brochures, but they generally don’t provide the kind of information that helps would-be-residents to make decisions as to whether the area has the facilities they require, or not.

This section of our web site will provide a lot of the information that you will need to decide what area works for you. It can save you a lot of time, effort and money and enable you to make a more informed decision. It may help you eliminate some areas from your list as they don’t have the facilities that are important to you.

Obviously you will still have to visit those towns on your short list. Before you make the final decision to move to the area of your choice, we suggest that you rent a house or unit there for a minimum of 6 months to see if you would fit in.

The detailed information on each area is available under “Town Information” and includes details like – climate, transport connections, golf and bowls club details, retiree organisations, health services, educational opportunities for mature adults, real estate agents, lawyers, financial planners, retirement villages and much more.
