Textiles & Craft of Cambodia & Laos - The beautiful destinations of Cambodia and Laos are well known for the skill of their silk weavers and the innovative designs and vibrant colours of their fabrics, embroideries and weavings.

A unique 15 night journey conducted by 2WorldTours gives participants the opportunity to see first-hand how beautiful silks and crafts are made across Cambodia and Laos. The tours have been specifically designed for women who have a passion for craft and beautiful things and provide a fantastic opportunity to make new friends and share this unique experience with like-minded travellers of all ages.

The tours provide travellers with the opportunity to explore the timeless beauty of ancient World Heritage temples, palaces and museums and also provide the time to learn and experience the rich craft traditions and the warmth and friendliness of the local people. Tours offer a number of unique experiences including;

• the opportunity to visit and talk with local artisans in their villages;
• visits to weaving, papermaking, silk and cotton spinning, embroidery and pottery workshops;
• the fun of trying your hand at traditional weaving looms and making natural dyes using ancient recipes and methods;
• hands on experience at a traditional Cambodian ceramics workshop;
• traditional cooking classes which incorporate visits to local markets to select fresh ingredients;
• the hustle, bustle and fun of bargaining at the local markets with the help of our local guides; and
• the opportunity to help with craft classes for disadvantaged kids.

2WorldTours provide support and sponsorship to a number of humanitarian aid projects throughout the region which also gives participants the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of those they meet on their journey by helping out and providing supplies for local orphanages, schools and aid projects.
