Kumuka Vietnam - 15 Day Vietnam Discovered
“There is nothing more precious than independence and freedom” - Ho Chi Minh. Vietnam is emerging as one of the worlds greatest travel destinations. In this trip, which covers Vietnam in fifteen days, we witness the country’s great variety.
From Hanoi in the north, to the miles of sandy beaches in the south; From the great cities of Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and Hue, to the cooler climes of the Central Highlands area of Dalat.
Arriving in Hanoi, the capital and a city full of lakes and boulevards, we visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and take a walk through the bustling old quarter. In Halong Bay we stay on a traditional junk boat cruising the thousands of limestone islets whilst being served world-renowned Vietnamese cuisine.
Then it's aboard the Reunification Express for our overnight journey to Hue, the former capital and seat of the Nguyen dynasty. The emperor's mausoleums make it a cultural highlight.
From there to the old trading port of Hoi An, a beautiful riverside town, where tailors shops abound, and on for an overnight stop at the resort of Nha Trang. We then head into the Central Highlands to spend time exploring Dalat and the surrounding area.
Next stop is Ho Chi Minh City, where a highlight is a tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground base that hid 10,000 members of the Communist Vietcong army.
Our final day is free to explore Saigon, or take an optional trip to the Mekong Delta.
